The production, which includes shadow puppetry and imaginative physical theater, with live accompaniment and folk songs with sing along, is directed by Rachel Oakes and devised by the cast.
The show features five American folktales: "Paul Bunyan," "Pecos Bill," "Sally Ann Thunder Ann Whirlwind," "The Nuts of Jonisgyont," and "The Discontented Rock."
Performing will be Tom Brennan, Joanna Shaw Flamm, Cordis Heard, Jacqueline Lorenz, Oakes, and Angela Perez.
A post-performance interactive story theater workshop will be offered where young audience members are invited to act out and re-imagine parts of the show with the cast.
The production will take place on Saturday, June 11, and Sumday, June 12, at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Barrow Mansion Theater at the Historic Barrow Mansion, 83 Wayne St., Jersey City.
