Say NO. to the toxic $5 billion plan to widen the turnpike extension through our cities only to lead to more traffic from induced demand that will still bottleneck at the Holland Tunnel.

I can't remember when a referendum in Jersey City has created a such an uproar.  Most of this uproar is caused by Airbnb, who is waging a campaign of disinformation.  Compound that with an administration that some would prefer to vote against and it is the residents of Jersey City that lose.  The Downtown Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (DCNA) wrote an Op-ed for NJ.com.  The DCNA are your neighborhood leaders and residents.  The Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association's President, Shannon Pennock, has worked tirelessly on this and the Necessities before Amenities Campaigns.  She has always worked to put the residents of Hamilton Park and the adjacent neighborhoods first.  Please take a moment and read it.

Thank you to all who came out in the deluge to the HPNA Public Meeting.  Those present heard from Board of Education Candidates and participated in a lively debate on Short Term Rentals.

The vast majority of the Members and Residents who voted at the meeting are in favor of reasonable regulations on Short Term Rentals.  Vote "Yes"

In addition, the HPNA Board of Trustees also endorse a "Yes" vote.

I was sent this document from a resident.  It provides information on the 'hosts', who I thought were Jersey City Residents.  According to this, they are not.  In one case study, exhibit 3, he outlines the website: deedeesapartments.com.  As far as I can tell, it's not affiliated with AirBnB.  I can't imagine how many others are running websites like this one.  Please take some time and educate yourself, don't rely on the glossy mailers to make your decision.
